There are no perfect humans—male or female. The only perfect man is Jesus Christ. He was on this earth centuries ago, and he died for our sins. When he left, he sent the Holy Spirit to this earth. The Holy Spirit is the only one who is perfect on this earth. We can only learn from him. As men and women of faith, we should never strive to be perfect, but we should strive to be like Jesus.
Many marriages can be a challenge because so many people think that their spouse should be ‘perfect.’ This is not realistic, nor is it human. Nobody is perfect! If you want your husband or wife to be perfect in everything, then you are wasting your time.
There is an old story of a man who goes around the world looking for the perfect woman. He went to the east, the north, the south, and the west, but he did not find a perfect woman. I’ll say it again: nobody is perfect! We are all flawed, and the sooner we can realize that we are flawed and accept our flaws, the sooner we can learn to love ourselves.
Once you understand your weaknesses, you can work on them and become a better version of yourself. But you can’t do this without God’s guidance. Use the written Word of God in the Holy Bible. The written word of God is always available, and the best part is that it’s free! God is a Master Cleaner, and His Word is meant to clean mankind’s spirit from doing bad things. Use your Bible in your spiritual toolbox. It’s one of God’s many great gifts.
